• QR codes generated within the app

• App crash reports and error logs (anonymized)
• Basic usage analytics (feature usage frequency, not content)
• Device type and OS version for compatibility purposes

2. How We Use Your Data

Your inventory data (boxes, items, photos) is stored locally on your device using SQLite. It is never uploaded to our servers or shared with third parties unless you explicitly use a sharing feature (e.g., exporting a QR sheet).

We use anonymized analytics solely to:

• Identify and fix crashes and bugs
• Understand which features are most useful
• Improve overall app performance

3. Data Storage & Security

All your inventory data is stored locally on your device's internal storage. We do not maintain servers that store your personal inventory information. This means:

• Your data is only as secure as your device
• We recommend enabling device-level encryption and a screen lock
• Uninstalling the app will permanently delete all local data
• We cannot recover data lost due to device failure or uninstallation

4. Photos & Camera Access

BoxVise requests camera and photo library access solely to let you attach photos to items and boxes. Photos are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to external servers.

5. Third-Party Services

BoxVise may use the following third-party services:

• Crash Reporting: To identify app stability issues (no personal inventory data is included in crash reports)
• App Stores: Apple App Store and Google Play Store — subject to their respective privacy policies

6. Children's Privacy

BoxVise is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

7. Your Rights

Because your data lives on your device, you have full control:

• Access: All your data is viewable directly in the app
• Delete: Delete individual items, boxes, or all data from Settings → Clear Data
• Export: Export your inventory as CSV or PDF from within the app

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through an in-app notification or by updating the "Last updated" date above.
